"We stay in beautiful ferragudo for the winter months! this little caffe is just around the corner from the house where we stay! very friendly family run near the church. we had coffee every day and many days we had breakfast! very good value and delicious! also free wifi that is very useful! many thanks for this! at the end of the day we would also stop for a beer! we'll see you next year!"

"First night after arrival in Alvor, and the choice was automatic. It had to be Cotton 's. Very quiet night, but the same excellent staff made us very welcome. Cocktails were delicious and we both had flambé pork fillet. The meat was very tender and lovely. The garlic potatoes were excellent and the vegetables good, but the food was all very salty. Interestingly, our second visit on 7th Oct for Music night was fantastic. We both had covers and Lamb cutlets, but this time opted for salad rather than vegetables. Everything was perfect; the lamb cooked superbly, and very tasty and tender, and a lovely side salad. Whilst the menu here is not extensive the old school service generates a great atmosphere and ambiance, which makes it special. The music is perfectly pitched and allows you to carry on talking easily..."

"We were recommended this place by our Airbnb for authentic Portuguese and it certainly didn't disappoint! We had this extremely sweet English speaking waiter that helped us order. We aren't used to ordering by the kg so we told him we wanted smaller plates and he gave us perfect portions. We ordered barnacles and he gave us instructions on how to eat it. He gave us a wonderful recommendation on white wine that paired beatifically with our meal. We ordered stuffed calamari, mixed clams, barnacles, langoustines(not in the menu, he said it's only there when it's in season). Everything was delicious! And again the service was just spectacular!!"
