"On the outside this cafe/bar/restaurant is undistinguished and long may it remain so! It 's a little gem on the outskirts on São Bras and run by a delightful husband and wife. There is an outside seated area and additional tables in a modern interior. At...the tables there is a selection of magazines and even a small 'biblioteca '. The ambience is what makes this place it is relaxed and unpressured. The staff are friendly and speak good english. There are a range of offerings but I would recommend the tosta mista and the ice cream some of which is made on the premises. In the evenings it is relaxed with a mixture of local portuguese and expats and it seems to stay open until the last one leaves. I really don 't want this place to become too popular as I always want to get a table either on my own or with friends. Frankly, I don 't know another place quite like it. But don 't go there please!"

"Stopped by for lunch today, have been a few times before. Lovely food, good friendly service, nice seating area outside. Lots of lovely cakes, pastries and the chicken pies are to die for . I always buy extra and take them home to freeze. Also the pastel de Natas are the best and I take them home and freeze them. Rated as the best by me."

"A local family treasure for generations! Come see Fatima (pictured) in her natural habitat for some amazing pastries and liqueurs, Algarve style! Many of her chocolate pastries and liqueurs are made with locally grown carob pods/powder. The almond liqueurs were my personal favorite. A very quaint pastry shop with a family-owned B&B right on the premises. Enjoy!"
