"Old school coffee shop and old school , one man show noodles stall. His hands are quick... But you still have to prepare to que... Nice chewy and soft beef balls..... 5 pieces.. with noodles.. for $4. I would say quite reasonable price. One of the old school shops left.. So eat while you can... Most probably none of his children would want to take over... Too much work..."

"Tried this beef kuay teow when I was 13 or 14, and I've been eating it at least once a week for years, now as I have a new job I go there every opportunity I get. The chilli is fantastic and compliments their flavourful broth and succulent tender meat perfectly. 10/10 would bang if this bowl of meat and noodles was a person."

"Always my favorite for Chinese noodle. Their taste maybe changes a bit, but still good. New menu let you order additional soup for 3$. The soup is good with dry noodle. I always add on tendon for more texture."

"Certainly a little pricier than most food courts but some interesting and yummy options. The Tekong fish soup was quite tasty, with fresh fish as well as fried fish. Their fried fish was not the inferior Dory like nearly all the fish soup stalls but snakehead or toman , more expensive and a much better eating fish. I was disappointed with the kaya pastry. I think it would have been much yummier if it was fresher , but quite a hard crunch and the filling was just sweet, not kaya custardy. Not cheap either. However, for a food court in the most prime of locations, one should not complain. Of course seating is a big issue but one does have to wait for value for money in air con comfort in the heart of Orchard Road."
