"Chicken Rice (SGD $5) Liao Fan Hawker Chan. . Propelled to fame as the 1st hawker stall to be conferred a Michelin star (and also the least expensive 1-Michelin star meal in the world at the time), Chef Chan Hon Meng might have lost the star, but not the long queues of hungry patrons. . Still going at it everyday, just as he's done before the star. The chicken is wonderfully bouncy and tender, with the chicken meat holding clean sweet savoury notes, while the chicken skin has robust salty savoury nutty flavour. . The rice is fluffy and lightly fragrant with mild grainy sweet flavour, juicy cucumbers, soft braised peanuts, and wobbly egg to complete."

"Delicious bowl of Signature XO BCM (bak chor mee) aka minced meat noodle. Juicy meat ball, chewy fish cake, fried vegetarian bean curd skin, with much pork lard make this bowl worth waiting in queue for."

"I’m a huge fan of kolo noodles and so glad I found this place! Prices are pretty economical. I had a double fish soup with kolo noodles for $8! serving size is decent! This place accepts cash and paywave payment. I’ll come by again to try the mala flavoured noodles! Menu has a variety of noodles options snacks side dishes and drinks. I’m sure you will find something of your liking. Just something to note, air in there isn’t too well ventilated so do bear with the smell from the cooking."

"Ordered Cabbage with Fish sauce and Crab Meat Egg and Braised Pork Knuckle. We asked to take fat off from Pork knuckles and they did just that. This is delicious."

"My first time trying what they call the “soupy bak chor mee” certainly did not disappoint! Each $4 bowl comes with 2 wantons, a couple of meatballs and minced meat. The springy texture of the wanton filling coupled with the soft skin really remind me of home made dumplings. For the noodle base, pick from a variety of noodles like mee kia, kway teow, mee Pok etc etc. Each of these ingredients came together really well in the deceptively clear soup which was packed with a chock full of flavor. Overall, a simple and common dish executed to perfection."
