"Their salsa is fresh and spicy hot and served with warmed chips. I come for lunch break. Fast courteous service without slack on food served fresh and heat hot. When temps get warmer I would love to try their fresh margaritas and sit outside on their front patio area."

"Such a cute vibe and food was incredible. Everything tasted very fresh. Plants were positioned everywhere which made for a chill environment. Seating options were plentiful. It was a seat yourself restaurant, so we chose the back which was located outside. We went during busy hours and still found a seat and parking. You order off a QR code and they bring the food out to you. We were surprised with how quickly we received our food, as there were only 2 runners in the back of this busy restaurant. We helped ourself to waters from a cooler. The idea of this restarting is fantastic and low maintenance. A few things that we did notice is that the food containers that the are served in seem to be wasteful (unless the reuse them). The tortillas were a bit soggy. Also the only tables left were small circular ones. There were 3 of us and we had ordered a few extra plates for chips/dip. We had to put some plates and drinks on the ground to make room for everything. However that was an “us” problem since we chose the table, knowing that there were 3 of us. Price was a little high at least compared to Mexican type eateries in houston. However, great experience, delish food, and we left overall satisfied. You cannot order wrong at this place. We will be back!"

"On our 24-hour adventure in Austin we couldn't miss this place and it didn't disappoint. We had to taste 3 different breakfast tacos just because? 1. Migas tacos, they make them eggs with tomatoes, onions and some other ingredients that make the taco taste amazing overall. 2. Bacon, egg and cheese, the bacon was perfectly cooked and the cheese supplemented the whole taco. 3. Chorizo, egg and cheese, let me tell you that the chorizo was so good, it had the perfect taste and Spiceness. To drink we had the chacha... So delicious! It is cold brew with horchata, 48 hours later and we are still for this drink"

"The goat tacos are the best thing on the menu! They are a lil gamey, but definitely worth a try. If you aren’t adventurous when it comes to food then I would recommend the barbacoa tacos. La Fruta has some of the best barbacoa I’ve had. Definitely worth a visit even if you live across town."

"Not terrible, but not great either. Salsa had potential, but was just too watery. Chips weren't super fresh and probably not made in restaraunt but they weren't bad either. Staff was incredibly friendly though. The rice was actually very good, but the burrito was kinda meh, not disgusting, but not very tasty. This restaurant is right there in the middle, I'm ok with coming back but would choose somewhere else first. One big plus was that they actually do refill your salsa, and they refill it quickly."

"Our service was phenomenal. All of the people in the front and the server were really sweet. Our waitress was excellent and attentive and had a great personality. I hate to say it, but I did not enjoy the food. It wasn 't something that the waitress could have fixed. I just didn 't like the style of the food, I guess. I ordered the Ceviche which was brought out in record time...made me skeptical that any thought or care was put into it. The type of fish used was dry and VERY tough...not light and refreshing as ceviche should be. It just seemed like it had been made yesterday in bulk. The chips were good. I ordered the Relleno Monte Cristo as my main...also not a fan. I am from New Mexico and when I see Relleno, I think of chile breaded and fried, drenched in more chile. There was minimal chile at all. This was definitely the most bastardized version of a Relleno I 've ever seen. This was more like French toast with a little pepper. I was skeptical about the powdered sugar and was informed that it was there for show and decided to be adventurous and try it anyway. The potatoes were not crispy and looked like they had also been made the day before. They didn 't come out that hot...just very bland overall. I asked for some hot sauce and you all had run out. Our waitress brought out some habañero salsa instead which tasted decent. This is not Mexican food. I don 't think I 'll be back."

"Went for brunch. Appetizers and baked goods excellent. Antelope wraps so salty could not eat. Pancake very sour, odd texture. Huarache good. Service was excellent."

"A literal hole in the wall but so. good. Visiting from Dallas and honestly I'd make the drive back just for another torta from Taco Mex. Amazingly cheap for the quality of food and service was very nice. Would rate 10 stars if I could!!!"
