"We were only in Austin for 1 night and were looking for a good place to eat. The hotel proposed Kerbey Lane Cafe. It was TERRIFIC. The place was a converted house and the whole area had a real hipster vibe. The food was excellent and surprisingly affordable. The whole"

"Very cute hidden gem on West 6th. Excellent quality food served with nice cutlery and dishes. My daughter loves that breakfast is served late! Be sure to check them put during happy hour! The only improvement I suggest is keeping the seating area in the stone corridor room heated. It's literally freezing while you eat. Also, I asked for salt and pepper and I was brought two disposable ramekins instead of two shakers. Not only extremely wasteful to have a PINCH of salt in SINGLE USE plastic, but silly. PUT THE COFFEE ACCOUTREMENTS AND CONDIMENTS OUT."

"A gem of a find great food, huge list of vegetarian options as well as carnivores, and all day breakfast. The service was great. I had the vegetarian lasagna and it was really delicious, served with hot crusty bread. We really enjoyed this cute quirky place."

"Been here twice now. Busy place but can usually get a seat with a small wait. Ponied up to the bar waiting for a table and met some great peeps! Had the chicken enchiladas once and the shrimp tacos the next. Decent food and fast service. Margaritas are really good! Just a walk down the street from the Saxon Pub for live music after dinner!"

"This place is fine. Second time I’ve ordered over medium eggs and the white had been soaking wet. Am I crazy? Over hard would mean the yolk is cooked all the way? All i wNt is a runny yolk."

"This place sucks, I'm here for lunch, I came back and my car was booted. It cost me a hundred dollars to release it. They blame the boat, but it's their parking lot. I tried to talk to the boaters. You're like a bunch of Voltures the park company."

"Nixta offers a unique culinary experience and is worth a visit even if they do not have too many vegan options. they allow them to make vegetarian options vegan, but they could improve by replacing either dinge (like cheese) with a vegan alternative or reducing the price."

"My husband and I went to Texas French bread for Valentine's Day. I originally made a reservation at 7pm which they arbitrarily changed to 6pm. This was somewhat inconvenient for us but the only other choice they gave us was to cancel. They served a four course meal for a fixed price. We also chose to have the wine pairings for an additional cost. The food was good although the starter salad was very similar to the venison appetizer , just with the added meat. My only complaint were the wine pairings. We started with a French sparkling wine that was lukewarm. The wine accompaniment to the lamb shank was a german pinot noir with a very bitter aftertaste. It was pretty much undrinkable. All in all I wish I had just ordered a good bottle of wine for the entire dinner. Service was very gracious and mostly prompt with a big delay just prior to the entrée. Atmosphere was very nice."
