"Checked out the newly open Hot Star Large Fried Chicken in Pointe-Claire, in the same strip as Copper Branch and the Kinton Ramen. Ordered the original, salt and pepper and a cheese filled one along with a green apple yogurt drink, (not pictured because my kids chugged it down too fast. Cooked to order so it was piping hot, super crispy and just to keep in mind, these are not boneless. Friendly service and huge portions. #supportlocal"

"A very small restaurant with only 3-4 tables and a bar. Be sure to make a reservation in advance. The food itself was incredibly delicious and almost every single dish had me going in for more.We started with the scallop carpacio which was incredibly soft and fresh. The quality of the scallop speaks for itself. The accompanying sauce was pretty good, it was light in flavour but added a nice mint kick to each bite.The karaage was incredibly juicy and delicious. It just might be the best karaage I've ever had. It was hot and fresh out of the oil but was not overly greasy. The fry on the skin was perfect and it really let the chicken shine. We ended up ordering another serving of the karaage.The maguro rice bowl was clean and simple. It was served with some small sheets of seaweed so we could make our own little hand rolls. The tuna was soft and fresh, it was the red meat so there was definitely some iron flavour, but definitely not overpowering and definitely not fishy at all. The rice was seasoned with some vinegar and soy sauce. When everything was combined with the seaweed, it transformed into the perfect bite of sushi hand roll.The sleeper dish is most definitely the brussel sprouts. It was unexpectedly flavourful and was a nice surprise for everyone. It was broiled and came out piping hot, it was hot, salty and a little smokey.The star of the meal was definitely the duck confit mazemen. It is incredibly rich and creamy once everything is mixed together. We shared 2 bowls between 5 people and it was definitely enough to fill us up since it was so rich. The duck was fall off the bone tender and the bine was perfect for sucking. The noodles came with a soft boiled egg which added to the creaminess of the entire dish. I would definitely recommend ordering this dish."

"We people) showed up at on Friday November and there were maybe people in the bar. After waiting at the bar for minutes a bartender finally came to see what we wanted. He did not look impressed that we were...speaking English amongst ourselves, even if we spoke French to him. We advised him that we were going to be a group of people and wanted to sit by the window. We told him we'd be ordering many drinks and food. The group was set to arrive for We tried to open a tab with the bartender who was very rude to us and told us that only the waitress could open a tab and he didn't care what we wanted. After waiting for minutes at the table we went back to the bar. The bartender was laughing at us for having waited so long because apparently the waitress does not start before We told him that he never told us that and ordered drinks. We once again asked him if we could leave him our credit card to avoid having to settle receipts every time given the fact there were very few people in the bar. He was extremely rude to us and said "Listen to me, you are holding up the line (there was no line) and i told you to pay now So we paid. We did not leave a very good tip because we tip on service and it must be earned. When we returned to the bar for a second drink he REFUSED to serve my boyfriend because we tipped badly and were "costing him money He said we must pay in cash. I went back to the bar and asked him what kind of nonsense this is because tipping is optional. He was once again extremely rude to my face and kept calling me "my dear I told him I was not "his dear" and then he told us to leave and not come back if we were not satisfied. Which is exactly what we did. We took our party of people to a different bar on St-Denis. Never have we ever felt so unwelcomed in bar in Montreal."
