"A hidden gem with the old Florida vibe. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was exactly what we were looking for authentic Cuban cuisine. Mojitos and Sangrias were perfect accompaniment. A little off the beat and track from our resort but definitely worth the drive!"

"Have driven forward from this place and decided to finally try. I'm so glad I did. The Chicken France Dinner ordered and was enthusiastic. The chicken was great and the fried curtains made perfect. Rice and beans where ok, but OMG the fried curtains!! In any case, other dishes will try again."

"Mario’s Catalina is one restaurant where the service is just as great as the food. They specialize in a latin cuisine like paellea, empanadas, Bolleche, which is latin pot roast, Masas de puerco, which is pork chunks deep fried with garlic seasoning. Being a native of Miami, I have grown up on these foods, and Mario cooks them just as good as you can get on calle ocho. Plus the care and attention that he gives to his restaurant customers, really makes them feel special. Try his Mojoito cocktail, it will knock you down if you drink more than two. They are open for lunch and dinner daily. It is worth the drive."

"The soup was water down, the vegetables hard and raw, no flavor whatsoever, the churrasco the meat was hard and with the smell and flavor of the starting liquid to ignite the charcoal, My first bad experience with this restaurant, what happened??? You fired the cook!!!"

"Seems the owner or the chef must have changed. We’ve ordered fish and chips. The same as last year. This time the fish was totally over cooked. The panate was dark and the fish inside was dry. The guests next to us were also not happy about the served food."
