"I have been going the Proletariat since they opened. The staff is always there to greet you with a friendly welcome. Not only is the service great but the atmosphere provides ample opportunity to work utilizing the free wi-fi, enjoy the live music, and a movie or poetry night while drinking a glass of wine, or one of the many unique craft beers selections. In addition, I have worked with the Proletariat on several projects since their inception, including a variety of charity events and fundraisers. The owners and staff are enlightening, precise, and motivated. Their energy, professionalism, and passion is awe-inspiring. On a personal level, their commitment to giving back to the community and creating avenues for local artists to thrive is beyond admirable."

"OGC is an eclectic local wine/full service bar in the heart of downtown Galveston TxIt’s clean and comfortable. The bartenders are always nice and knowledgeable . They offer a variety of standard menu items and hand crafted cocktails. The beer and wine selection is amazing.It’s a cozy and comfy bar."

"3.5 stars for me. The service was 5 out of 5. Our waitress was amazing and on top of it. They brought out some complimentary bread which was pretty good. We started with meatballs and they were 3 of 5 for me. Seemed a bit dense and the dish overall was a bit cold. The seasoning and flavor was awesome of them. I got the lasagna for my main. Came out piping hot and had decent flavor. Just something not super authentic tasting to me. 4 out of 5 star dish. My wife has the scallops and angel hair pasta. The scallops were cooked well but we're not cleaned properly. They were a bit gritty. Had a great bottle of wine as well. Over all it was a 3.5 out of 5 star restaurant overall. They were super accommodating to our 10month old child screaming (we ate at 5 when the dining room was empty) Locals and will return."
