"Was mid day on a Wednesday. The restaurant was very slow. Only a few tables were occupied. The waitress was extremely slow and rarely checked on us. We had to finally ask a bus boy for our check. The food was fantastic. It's one of the best potato soups I've ever had, and the bacon-wrapped Sirloin was cooked perfectly. It just would have been a much better experience had the waitress actually waitressed."

"Was very good. Friendly folks working here and very good food. Portions are large and plenty to drink. They close at 3:00 but still served us at 2:45 with absolutely no rush. Parking was validated so no worries there. I can see why they are so liked. Well be back for sure."

"Omg, that was a great place. a friend in galveston told me about this place. I was surprised to find a new place to eat. the slider ordered, it is truthahn, special sauce and comes on a regular bungalow or a Jalapeño hall. I've got a side kartoffel salad to go with it and so happy. I'll be back in any case!"

"Fresh seafood dishes with exceptional table service. More fish and shrimp options than steaks, but so tasty independent. Large selection of drinks. Beautiful interior facing the ocean and Galveston pleasure pier. Relaxed vibes. They also offer a wide range of child-friendly dishes. All we have tried over the years is excellent!"

"Phenomenal food and wonderful customer service. This was our 1st time trying Koops and we WILL be back. We had the 3 meat plate with brisket Sausage Pulled pork with a double side of macaroni and cheese. We've heard nothing but hype about the food and sure enough it was all true."

"Perfect dinner experience at Shucks Tavern and Oyster Bar. I had a few friends recommend this place to me. The food was fabulous. The place offers different kinds of oysters. We got a dozen East Coast oysters, they were amazing and fresh. Plus the Oysters Rockefeller were delicious. The Aguachile a Mexican dish made with shrimp had a nice presentation, great texture and flavor with a kick of serrano peppers. The Blackened Snapper was amazing. The fish was perfectly blackened with a delicious cream sauce on the side. The atmosphere and decor were very nice. We will definitely be back. PS the staff was great."
