"I feel like I wasted my money and I'm so disappointed. I was craving a breakfast bagel sandwich and a taro smoothie so that's exactly what I got. Unfortunately, I couldn't even finish it. I swear everything tasted expired; the cheese, egg, and the sausage. Although the customer service was great and I hear the donuts are good, I will not be going back."

"This is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people serving beautiful dishes. I happened to come shopping for a car in the neighborhood. I was surprised by the breadth of the menu... gumbo, and so on together with the usual soul food. Sometimes in a small restaurant these things are on the menu, but they are out. Not with Dirty South. I ordered the rubber train. It was perfectly prepared. The spices added the ingredients instead of overwhelming. Ditto for the grain bread. Not too dry, not to gooey. During later visits I had the wings, scratched greens, baked Mac, black-eyed peas, red beans and rice. The wings were made less good than I like, but that would be easy to fix, and it would be worth as the dough they use makes for an appealing treatment. For me the decor was perfect. modest, clean, funny signs and warm messages on the wall, beautiful music from the boombox. Drop the toilet door before you get in. It was also educational. I learned to order a Muddy Water instead of an Arnold Palmer. The staff was professional, warm and attractive. Everything about this place is authentic and tasteful."

"Lack of servers, waited 20min to place our order. Only to be told there was no more brisket (which was the main reason we were there). Then needed to quickly decide on something else to order. Ended up with ribs and chicken which were very good. Just disappointed about the brisket and brisket burnt ends."
