"No frills take out kitchen. I was excited to try the oxtail but they did not have it on the menu. The smothered porkchops were out of this world, literally fall off the bone tender and flavorful. The Mac n cheese was average but good. The baked beans do not seem homemade, possibly canned and just doctored up. The salisbury steak was absolutely awful. Very bland and dry. My husband actually ended up finishing my pork chops because his was so bad. The service was also sub par. She was not friendly but also not rude....just going through the paces, without a smile or any kindness."

"Great barbecue near the downtown area. I recommend this BBQ place. It's authentic. on main street close to town.i had the pulled pork sandwich with iced tea and it was great. i am looking forward to going back there soon."

"This small bar/grill is the absolute best place for tasty eating and a large selection of ales, ipa’s, etc. the hotel is located in the inner city of jacksonville, it is convenient to the hyatt regency (easily accessible to foot). they come hungry as the portions are extremely large. but not freeze: eating is so delicious and served cake hot that they eat every last bite. they will not be disappointed here."

"Ordered the avocado omelette but asked if it could be in a wrap and they made it happen. Best breakfast wrap I’ve ever had. A little messy so don’t eat in your work shirt. This is the second time I’ve been here with my family and we’ve been impressed both times so far. Looking forward to the next time. Had a very NY feel."

"Went for the first time tonight. Im pretty reserved and anxious most of the time but it was easy to feel like myself in this restaurant. The show was wonderful and the patrons as well as the host(s) were lovely. I didn’t know what to expect truthfully but im glad my friends invited me out. The girls and the gays were amazing! The food wasn’t the best admittedly but the drinks made up for it and you know what Id still order a meal the next time. Thank you all for being yourselves and providing a safe space for everyone of all shapes and sizes. (And the music was boppin frfr)"

"Food was good but restaurant seems to be ran by a group of guys, only two of them are customer friendly and place needs a good cleaning, i.e. door, door handles, trash in lot but to be fair, did notice some kitchen door framing repairs."

"This is my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Jacksonville. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. The food always tastes good and they give you plenty for a great price. Got the express stew chicken for only $6. I've been going here for years and I've never been disappointed and they have THE BEST oxtails!"

"My friend took me to The Bearded Pig Sunday for my first time. We got there around 1 and it was busy but didn't have to wait to long to order. They are dog friendly!! You walk up to order your food, get your number and drink and find a seat. I ordered the pull pork sandwich and side of Mac and cheese. It was so yummy. Their sweet sauce is so good. I was thinking about my meal the next day. My friend got salad with pulled pork and a side of fries and she said it was really delicious as well. We sat on the patio with my friend's dog. They have bowls of water for the doggies. It was chilly that day and they have heaters out. The workers are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back."
