"My last DineLA-Venture Warung Cafe was the real find of the week, and probably the ones I most likely have in the future. We arrived half an hour early for our reservation (if THAT ever happens in LA?!!! and although they said that there were no previous reservations on the phone available, we found the restaurant only half full, and the hostess was more than happy to put us. I guess maybe they didn't want to fill the restaurant with reservations, because there were only 2 waiters on the night, and in the evening we had both of them coming at our table. Our most important waitress was very sweet and helpful with Sake recommendations, offers us a taste of her preferred will before we make a choice. Lovers, this place does not hot, but they do many different tasting flights from cold sky that we enjoyed. I couldn't believe how much delicious food we got for such a reasonable price! Yes, they are small plates, but they have more than compensated with the extra appetizer pick. Besides, I'd rather have a lot of taste than committing myself to a duck that could be a stinking one. Luckily, every court was a hit. I can't wait to come back!"

"After 25 years of going and eating meals at Chinatown, I at last made it to the plum tree inn. I always told myself that I would get the Peking duck when I finally made the trip but the Worm and I were in downtown one sunny mid-afternoon and were hungry so we went on a lark. This was the best time to go because we were the only ones in there. I remember when I lived downtown, Plum tree inn was closed for renovations. Those renovations were worth it , it is really nice inside. We had one of those classic Chinatown waiters, super pro, and he served up orange chicken for the worm as well as some delicious dumplings. All-in-all everything was delightful and delicious and delovely. There's really nothing better than eating a good meal in a big swank dining room that's utterly empty except for oneselves. I made a vow to the Worm that we should come back for the Peking duck and for some reason she agreed."

"Update: No need to come an hour early anymore, there is so much parking available and way more less people than the first time I came. Initially was told that I would have to make a second appointment myself, at wherever was available for today's date when I got my first dose which left me frantically looking for any place with an open date (literally none are available) but thankfully Carbon Health texted me that they already automatically booked me an appointment. The place is way more organized, there are more staff members available to help check people in at a much quicker pace, and there are many more staff members around to provide the vaccine."
