"Okay so normally I do not care for reviews or place stock in them but after reading a lot of these on the sites I wanted to put in my 2 cents. I went two days in a row now. First day was Monday the 9th for lunch, a girlfriend and I went while I was in town though we were leary because of some reviews we read. It was lunch when we came in and it did take a moment to get seated but we noticed that was because it was a little busy and the lady seating us seemed to be clearing off all of the tables also. The girl that was waiting on us appeared pretty quickly to say she would be right with us and she was. We ordered our food and honestly were expecting to be disappointed but we were not. The Pastrami was good, granted I am from NY and it is no Carnegie Deli I think it was good, maybe like comparing a good steak to Kobe beef, both good one just on a different level. The servers were attentive when they were not running around in a frantic pace (not sure why it was not that busy or when they were talking to each other. This is where things got negative for me a bit, I could hear the servers talking about the servers on the later shifts. I heard how lousy they were, lazy, would not do their jobs, did not clean, and generally were incompetent (this is coming from their co-workers . Well I was there for a while and did see that this place was not the pinnacle of clean, tables had dishes that that poor lady had not been able to get to yet while the servers chatted about other servers. My friend and I decided to go back the next night just to see and we brought along additional people. It was very busy, looked like almost every table was taken but we were greeted immediately by a nice young lady and she brought us instantly to our table. So far so good, but now it was time for the service I heard so many negative things about from other servers the prior day. Our server was at the table literally within 15 seconds and introducing himself to us. The server took our drink order after offering bar drinks and was back quickly with them. The server told us the specials and when we asked for recommendations told us dishes that he sells a lot of so we ordered. The food was back in about 15 to 20 minutes, our salads in less than 5. It was hot and it was good, the server checked back with us to make sure everything was good and told us if we needed anything else just holler at him lol and if that didn 't work hit him with something (I assume he was kidding because he was laughing as he said it . I looked around the restaurant and saw servers, all of them, taking dishes from tables, one had the little sweeper vacuum thing and they were wiping things down and even though it was busy it was clean. Not once did I hear them say anything about other staff so I decided to ask. I asked our server how the days where here expecting to find something out but he only said the food would be just as good and that we would be taken care of with service since most of the servers during the day had been there a while. So overall I would say the food was really good, the price was great, the service was good to great but wonder how much business this place might be losing from hearing the lunch servers through the night servers under the bus? I would recommend this restaurant to anyone but would tell them to go at night, it may be busier but it is less hurried and frantic and the service we got was top notch. I did get one of the eclairs on the way out and it was good but I might be biased since I own and operate a restaurant and bakery in NY. And if the server happens to read this review and recognizes themself I would happily offer him a job at my place in the city. [hidden email]."

"Tacos were absolutely awesome! They were actually so good when we had them for lunch we can 't back for dinner. The Killer was definitely a favorite for me and my gf. She liked it blackened, but I prefer it crispy. Delicious either way. They have plenty of open seating, plus when we came back Friday night they had a band playing live music!"
