"At first the waiting staff was excellent, they were beautiful and attentive. I can't say the same for your hostesses. We were there to celebrate my birthday and we had reservations and some of our party was late, so we lost our attic table. The restaurant wasn't busy and nobody used the table. One of our parties complained to the manager (who was also very nice) who immediately moved us back to our roof table. Of course, they have 2 hours of table border and while I understand that, we were a party of 8, who ordered dinners and drinks, and after everything they could have, we left a little longer, but they didn't want us out. I don't want to say we won? We went the block to the Mercado Restaurant, which welcomed us without any problems!"

"Eating is good, sitting outside in the courtyard. was very nice. unfortunately we did not get a server after sitting for about 15 minutes. but after that there was a good service. a thing that I observe in a well-trained restaurant is that they always make sure that they pour their wee during their eating and at our table that was done. we really enjoyed our evening in the bistro 45."

"This is an awesome place in a very comfortable way. The food is well-executed and fairly priced. I live in NYC, not Pasadena, but if we did we’d be here at least 2-3x a month (maybe more for healthy lunches).Nice street side patio, industrial vibe inside. Open kitchen. You do hear sounds from the kitchen but they seem to blend into the background. Ordering is a snap, especially if you download the app. There were people who walked in and ordered at the counter but they seemed more confused and that seems so much less efficient. We just sat down at the table, entered our table number into the app and food and drinks just appeared, almost magically. One thing on the app they could improve is that it makes you enter the location repeatedly for subsequent orders, which slows things down. And ordering stepwise makes sense, especially for a larger party (we had 6).The food? Tasty goodness: can be reasonably healthy (although not for me as I ordered chimichurri steak, fries and roasted mushrooms). My only issue with the food was the chimichurri, which could have used more spice and more acid for a more vibrant and balanced flavor. But that comment alone should tell you what you’re dealing with: awesome and wholesome food well-prepared by the chef on staff. Steak and two sides: $20. Tofu: great. Chicken tenders: perfectly fried and crispy/tender. Beer, wine: nice choices. Awesome sides. You can construct a healthy and tasty meal here, lots of great vegetables. If you’re lucky enough to be near one their spots, go now.Vegetarian options: Lots of them. Tofu. Brussels sprouts, just name twoKid-friendliness: Easy. Comfortable"

"Wonderful locals spot. Locally owned and operated. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, AltaEats is one of our favorite places to dine in Pasadena/Altadena. We are still eating our way through the menu and so far everything has been great : Try the Roastie take home meal!! What a great deal. Or the surprise bottle of red for $50."

"I was looking for a dog friendly place to grab a quick bite and some beer. Came here early Sunday afternoon. Easy, designated parking lot. They had an outdoor patio with bench type seating. Great place to bring your dog.Friendly staff and great service. Unfortunately, the pizza we ordered wasn't great. The toppings were plentiful and fresh but the crust tasted like supermarket pizza. Nevertheless, some of the other food I saw others eating looked good. Their complementary chicharrones were light and delicious. We will definitely be back to try some of their other items, especially because of their wonderful service and friendly staff."

"After asking for these things, they weren't in the bag, ketchup, large order of fries, straw, and one other thing. Just sucks when you have to back. Attitude almost excellent, but when a customer has to spend their gas to come back, you should offer something just for the inconvenience."
