"This place was fine. Made an order for breakfast. We have a burger with onion rings and an Italian omelet. The burger was a 7/10, but these onion rings were actually perfect. Honestly, if I had just ordered the onion ring, I would have given 5/5. They were crispy and crispy and not too much bread, and you could still taste the onion in there. 10/10 for the rings. but there was more. The other thing we ordered was the Omelet with potatoes. Nothing wrong with the potatoes, they were seasoned and well cooked 8/10. On the other hand, that Omelet was not beautiful at all... Sausages were dry and seasoned, the cheese under it was gritty and tasteless, the tomato sauce on the egg was strange, and the American cheese to top it was just so out of place. So the egg seemed to be good first. My fist bite was small, tasted like an egg I would cook at home. My second bite was a bit bigger, thought to me, 'that could use some salt and pepper' then I took another bite. *Crunch * I bit in an eggshell... I'm just a 28-year-old man, not the oldest or wisest, but I never have an egg in a restaurant in my life. Surely the place had people in it, but it wasn't the busiest restaurant in the world, or California, or even in Poway. I stabbed on a large piece of egg shell. Instantan was filled with grits. It was almost as if I put the face first on the beach, someone screamed at me!! I'm trying to suck as much sand as possible. The feeling was terrible! If you're ever stuck in eggshells, you know it's hard to get everything out of your mouth. I tried and tried. But for my life, I just couldn't get it out. I washed my mouth with water, but when I came back to finish my potatoes... *CRUNCH CRUNCH* I think I'll get back from the order all egg related from any restaurant because of this. Great disappointment. The toast was pretty good. I'd give him a 2.6/5. So lean on 3/5, that's what I gave"

"Fantastic blueberry pancakes! Huge portions, too. I had the fried potatoes also which was my favorite part of the meal. Service was great and meals were served quickly, but hot and fresh. Loved it!"

"We visited this restaurant 3 mornings in a row, and had a great meal every time. The service was awesome 2 mornings out of 3-we May have hit someone on their off day. The menu is comprehensive, and there is something for everyone."

"Very good service!! The service alone makes me come back time after time! The Kong pao chicken is great! The lunch special is the deal!! You get 1 entree plus soup and rice 7 bucks!! Yes please Cant wait to get the lunch special again! If you call in they almost will always have it ready for you in 10 to 15 minutes! If you like the food spicy make sure you ask to make it spicy."

"Dang....reading some of the comments below...sounded like some of these people are both high maintenance and want something trendier like Broken Yolk or something super fancy. Give me a freaking break...it really boggles my mind on why they would say they will never come back again. I really liked it! Of course, if breakfast is too expensive, then go to McDonald 's!! It is not a trendy, fancy, or a cool looking place, but the food and the ambiance were good. Yes, the building is located in a weird area but isn 't some of the best restaurants located in hole in the wall places... Who freaking cares about how the building looks like!?? It 's better than battling for parking at a restaurant in North Park or having to pay for metered parking. It 's right off the main street plus plenty of parking. The way the building looks like it doesn 't bother me. Someone mentioned that everything tasted like butter... well, it tasted just fine to me. I ordered the hashbrowns on the side with the special of the day. With the hashbrowns, they were delicious . They weren 't drenched in butter/oil , it was just right...nice and crunchy. Their special was Chilaquiles, I was impressed! They were so delicious and were given a nice big portion. I loved the giant size coffee cups, The food came out quickly. The wait staff were professional and friendly. They kept checking up on us. Overall, this is a place I would definitely go back to for a nice breakfast!"

"It was all I was hoping for. The food was delicious. This morning we had three hams and eggs, stuff on a single and chicken Fried Steak. Everything was delicious. Our server, Kevin, was excellent! So much to see on the grounds. The train is fun."
