"Been here several times. Came to celebrate a friends birthday. Upstairs is almost too loud but downstairs is so dark. The tin can nachos are the very best. Amazing drinks too many choices."

"That is a great local social bar. I was referred to this bar by a bartender from another restaurant and it was a good suggestion. the drinks were good and their music selection was very diverse. the personal was pleasant and attentive."

"Enjoyed our lunch here. The location and rhe anbience of the place is beautiful. The food we ordered were all amazing and fresh. The portion size was great as well. It did take a while to get the food, but the chips and salsa kept us occupied. I would definitely recommend this place for lovely Mexican food in down town SLC. Will come again.."

"We luckily got in for a late lunch, but seating and ordering took a while even with a reservation. Food was super expensive. I ordered the spicy chicken, basically got 1 small chicken breast a cup of rice and some veggies for 16$. Everything needed more flavor. Chicken was super dry and over cooked. Service was great, but the space is tiny. Horrible ventilation so every time something was cooked it was super smoky, you almost couldn’t breathe very well. Everything took a long time, reservation was for 2:45 and we didn’t leave the restaurant until 4:15-4:30. It was an interesting experience but there are other chains that do the same thing for the same price that I would rather go to"

"So I don't know what happens inside my stomach, but I can down quite a lot of food. For $42, I like to think I ate my money's worth. The restaurant seemed to go for quality over quantity-- there wasn't a whole lot of choice, but with the selection they had, it was definitely full of interesting flavors. The sweet potato salad had a zing of apple-y sweetness that just worked; the cous-cous salad had a bit of sour which spruced up what I normally would have assumed from a cous-cous salad; the fish was fantastic, too; the cheeses were... just okay. They looked like they were left out in the open for a tad too long, even with the ice on the bottom of the catering dish. The selection could please both carnivores and not-as-carnivores alike. I'm pesceterian and there was still a good amount of non-red-meat options available. The live music was great, as it set a pretty relaxed tone while you were eating. The service wasn't anything to rave over neither was it bad; it was like any other typical dining experience, I suppose-- at least that's how my waiter was. He was nice, but... that's it. In all, it was a great place to fluff up some hubris and treat myself as a birthday present.

In my very debatable opinion, if a special occasion or a date or a family get-together ever came up, I would still recommend the Garden over the Roof just because non-buffets seem more conducive to conversation."
