"First off, I'm stunned this place even accepted the reservation since they were closed. Yep. That's right. We showed up to the address and went inside only to find that Mortar Pestle was a bar in the back of a fast food Indian place called Curry Up. So instead of a nice, quiet evening drinking cocktails, we sat at the Indian equivalent of McDonalds eating sub-par curry and drinking water. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. If you like Indian street food, this may be the place for you. But if you're expecting a dining experience with cocktails, steer clear."

"Almost didn't find this place between the street construction and it being located down a flight of stairs off the sidewalk. Tonight we ordered Vegas roll, Nacho roll, Firecracker roll and the Funky roll. The Vegas was my favorite, and the firecracker a close second. All the sushi was fresh with a great presentation. One weird thing was the edamame. About 1/2 of the pods were cold. And not cold like they had cooled off. Like out of the fridge cold. Overall a cool place to get solid quality sushi."

"Something good, a little not-so-much. most of what I tried at this place I enjoyed with taking out the pommes. the chicken curry is very well moist chicken served with the perfect level of flavor. the bark cabob was ok, but not almost as good as the chicken (very damp and had a great taste). the rice was also good, so said the pommes were quite anxious and terrible. Hopefully they do something about it. quite a bit beaten and miss for my pleasure."
