"The food is good however, a bit overpriced for what it is. Service was old school with a waiter that had been there years. The restaurant is very loud and I counted five singing birthdays while dining within one hour. It seems to be the place to go for special occasions"

"Salt is the swanky and sexy, the atmosphere feeds your eyes l… the food feeds your soul. All the food is absolutely delicious, I’ve enjoyed the wayyy burger, calamari , crab cake, gnocchi, and well I just pick knowing it’s gonna be Delish!!!! It’s not big and reservations a recommended."

"We have had several excellent meals at Floriana, but tonight was not a great experience. After being seated late for our reservation, we had arrive that from beginning to end was ridiculously slow. In addition the kitchen seems to be having problems getting out food and what they did serve us was bland. We had ordered a special that included dessert, and when the time came to be served our choice chocolate mousse, the waiter informed us that it wasn’t available because the chef wasn’t satisfied with the day’s batch. However, nearby tables had been served the same dessert minutes before ours was to come. When we opted not to have the remaining choice, the restaurant did not adjust the bill accordingly. With such a lousy experience I’m not convinced we’ll return"

"My wife and I had an excellent dinner at this modest-size neighborhood gem in the Adams Morgan district. From the moment we walked in the restaurant, the service was welcoming, warm and responsive. The menu was interesting and the fresh pasta was excellent and arrived at our table very quickly. The soundtrack enhanced the overall atmosphere, as does the open kitchen. Finally, the price point is very reasonable. We don’t live in D.C., but if we did, we would be at Al Volo regularly."

"We appreciated having tablecloths, a real candle, and a lovely, peaceful dining room. We could talk and we could hear. Food was delicious. Among 4 of us we shared 2 salad apps, 4 different mains, and shared tiramisu and a piece of light cake. Especially loved the celery salad, but really everything. We had arctic char over lentils, shrimp /spinach risotto, and 2 different pasta dishes. It's a special occasion place, and we loved it. All our plates were cleared completely empty and cleaned."
