"A delicious and friendly breakfast and lunch place!I highly recommend the avocado toast with sausage added on—so good! I’ve gone here probably about a dozen times, and they are always very kind, and I’ve never had any issues with my order. My partner always gets a chorizo sandwich of some kind that is also very tasty from the few bites I’ve had of that.My only complaint is they don’t carry the orange juice version of the bottled Natalie’s products they offer as drink options, but it doesn’t stop me from going!"

"Everyone on the restaurant staff was great!! We had raw oysters as an appetizer for $3/oyster. They were very small not worth the money, however, the pear salad was very good and I had a veal porterhouse for an entree it was accompanied by what I think were scalloped potatoes which were excellent"

"I come to Bar Pilar about once per month, it is one of my favorite restaurants and I often bring people visiting from out of town because of the really good menu, it’s intimate yet eclectic setting and friendly service. I was really disappointed this time and kind of embarrassed with my guest. The service was so slow that I went up to ask where our waiter was. He came and took our order but our entree salmon came out minutes before our starter hush puppies and Brussels sprouts. They did apologize but it really ruined the flow of the dinner. We elected to just end things there and move on. I’ll think twice before going back"

"I really like this place. I like that their menu changes from time to time. The wine list is good and cocktails are well made. The food is solid and there are a few vegetarian options. The staff is friendly and attentive even when it's busy."
