"We went to this restaurant at around 7:30 on a Tuesday evening, craving falafel. The atmosphere was a bit lacking but the food did not disappoint. <br/ <br/ Their infamous hot sauce is incredibly tasty makes my mouth water just thinking about it their onion rings are also top notch. The flavour of the Middle Eastern falafel (in a pita was also delicious, the way they plated the pita was nearly impossible to eat – it was not a pretty sight! <br/ <br/ Overall, it was a good experience – fast, tasty messy – I left overly stuffed. I'd definitely recommend, I just wouldn't go there on a first date ; <br/ <br/"

"My mother had fallen in love with Lebanese cuisine while visiting family in Calgary. Upon her return we decided to try out this restaurant which was the first time for her, myself and my brother.I ordered the falafel wrap and lentil soup. My mother and sibling ordered the shawarma meat with rice or salad tahini (platters). The portions of meat (chicken or beef) was ample and well cooked. The flavouring and spice level delicious and not overpowering (we rather enjoy spicy food mind you). The lentil soup was delicate and soothing with veggies and lentils in a tasty broth.Overall we very much enjoyed our meals with leftovers to take home. The only drawback to the dine in experience there was no option for hot beverages (tea/coffee), however canned drinks and bottled water are available.I ended up ordering a dish to go for a friend as I thought they’d enjoy Altanour’s cuisine as well. Pricing is on par with most other restaurantsThe decor is simple. In colder temps you may need to keep your jacket on as it was a bit chilly in the restaurant.If you’re looking for Lebanese food in the city, give Altanour a try. They have great menu options for both vegetarian and meat eaters alike for dine in, take out and delivery."

"Been meaning to try this place for a while now and am I happy I did. Great place to grab a quick bite or even take your meal to go. I got the Beef and Lamb plate, the plates give you a lot more so you get to try a little bit of everything! The rice is enjoyable and not super heavy. The meat is flavourful, but not moist or juicy and a bit more on the dry side. I chose the Tabbouleh salad (parsley, bulgur wheat, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and spices), along with the beet and apple salad, a unique combination but works well. The hummus and tahini sauce were both delicious, very flavourful! The potatoes were lightly seasoned which was great, because everything else is full of flavour. My only complaint is that my food was barely warm and I ate it like 32 seconds after I got it. I for sure enjoy my food more when it's hot. Also, the hot sauce wasn't actually hot, so that was a bit disappointing, but other than that this is a great place! Staff is super friendly, it's in a great area of the city and of course the food is good! You just might want gum for after, cause the garlic tends to stay in your mouth."

"Delicious food at Arabesque! Started with Egyptian mint tea. My new favourite thibg. You can taste the fresh mint, it was lovely on a chilly evening.Portions are generous here ... We've been eating for half an hour and there's so much food left. Shared the Arabesque combo and got a little of everything ... beef & chicken skewers, shawarma, hummus, grilled eggplant dip, fries with a fantastic spice drizzle. Next time, I've got my eye on the tabbouleh ...Dessert was baklava, pastry stuffed with pistachios, and with a nice and not-overwhelming level of sweetness. Next time, I'll pair it up with Turkish coffee.The people at Arabesque were really helpful, explaining what was on offer, making good suggestions for tea and food, and encouraging us just to enjoy and relax - even after we had finished paying. Decor was nice, loved the wall hangings. A worthy addition to the Corydon strip, I'll be back :)"
