"The sweetest lady inside, running the place by herself. The bacalhau com natas was possibly the best dish I had the entire week in Portugal. Highly recommend."

"Really delicious food, very friendly staff and a wonderful view. Do not hesitate to visit this lovely restaurant. The staff were very accommodating when we arrived, they found us a table within minutes and we sat upstairs on one of the small balconies over looking the beach area which felt extra unique. We had a combo of lovely dishes from the menu all good value and great quality tasty. Duck salad, vegetable tempura, garlic prawns, pea soup, and the Iberio pork. Drinks were also wonderful something f for every taste on the menu. Believe the great reviews and make sure you pay this place a visit."

"Better than Alinea; compares with Arzak; approaches El Bulli. Molecular gastronomy restaurants can be delightfully whimsical, but they sometimes come across as pretentious. LAB was the former. The staff was engaging rather than too self serious, and they seemed all in. The service, by the way, was impeccable: choreographed but not stilted. The edible tour of Portugal, on the second floor, was a fun start. Creative, but not at the sacrifice of taste. Then on to the first floor, where I had a view of the golf course and forest beyond. The atmosphere was warmer here than it comes across in the photos. It wasn't overly air conditioned, or too dark, or sterile. I'd intended to order the Chef's Garden menu, but I was enjoying myself so much that I splurged on the From Outside the Mountain menu, and they accommodated my pescatarian preferences. I didn't regret my decision. Every dish was a tasty little gift some better than others, but all a treat. I never waited between courses. At the end, I was stuffed, but pleasantly so, and had a bit of a buzz (wine pairings, with six courses, will do that to you. Excellent atmosphere, food, and service: I highly recommend dining here. LAB could be even better if it 1 didn't charge for water. The practice doesn't befit a restaurant of this caliber 2 clearly distinguished between wines included in the pairing and those that are not; and 3 provided a paper menu that lists the dishes, ingredients, and wines, so that guests can reference it during the meal, and refer to it later when cooking or shopping or just reliving the evening."
