"Have been here four times and it's always been incredible. In fact, the food seems to only get better each time we go. The owners are personable and talented! The sashimi course is guaranteed to be delicious, and the wagyu with truffle sauce is a rare constant on the shifting seasonal menu I'm always happy to see arrive.It's a real gem in Old Town, Alexandria."

"Oak went out of their way to make sure we had a great anniversary dinner. From the moment we stepped in, everyone was friendly and helpful. Our server was quick to give us recommendations from the menu and everything we tried was great. Major highlights: Parker house rolls (SO tasty, a must order! Caesar salad (this was served in a very unique way with gem lettuce, and was the perfect size for two people to share Our steaks were both perfect. I ordered the six ounce filet with truffle butter on top and my husband ordered the NY strip steak with chimichurri sauce. Both cuts were phenomenal. For sides, we ordered brussels sprouts and the bravas potato, which were both a nice size for sharing. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake, which was HUGE and really delicious. All in all, a lovely experience and would definitely come back!"

"Pasta was not very flavorful. I ordered a shrimp pasta and the pasta was pretty dry…not drenched in sauce, and the sauce was not very flavorful. Complementary bread was dry and hard and very bland"

"This place was really laid back. Brandon, the mixologist, had a great attitude and kept us engaged at the bar. The place has about 4 two seat tables, 3 three- four seat tables and about 8 bar stools...so reservations are strongly suggested. It 's a speak easy, so it has a 'secret ' entrance which leads from a busy kitchen to a dimly lit, nicely decorated area. The drinks are GOOD and the food choices were small plates, which was nice. "I used Delia's online contact form to make a reservation about 10 days in advance for 12 for a Saturday evening 10 Tweet boys 2 adults. The owner, George, replied the same day to confirm the request. When we arrived at the restaurant, our table was set up and our server Gigi was presented. Gigi made the night seamless pizzas quickly came out (even if they were short busy! , our water was filled again and again, Gigi checked regularly with us and was so pleasant and went beyond and beyond to create a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and the staff was so friendly. Our guys called it nice and were pretty impressed. Would definitely return and recommend for family-friendly group! Thank you to George and Crew!"

"Ate on the patio, it was very pleasant. Our server, Alan A was great. He gave us good advice about our wine selections. Food was very good, I had the corn chowder for my appetizer and it was delicious. Overall a very good meal."
