"My 20-year-old son exclaimed the above in delight as he tasted his burger. I have to agree. It was what it promised, 200g of real beef, but cooked properly to my taste, which is 'rare '. In fact, back home in Ireland I can 't get such a thing when I eat out — the health and safety nazis long ago made it illegal to serve a hamburger rare, or possibly even medium. The accompanying chips were excellent, and I was delighted to find that Macas Club has not just one, but two ranges of craft beer. The Feira ?? I had was excellent, and if we had not been near the end of our holiday I 'd have been back for another burger and to sample the MUSA beer range, from a craft brewery in Lisbon. Even better, my daughter is vegetarian, always challenging when it comes to burgers. But Macas Club scored high here too — she pronounced it the best veggie burger she had ever had, and better than the two already consumed elsewhere during the holiday. Having spent the afternoon enjoying the beach at Praia Das Macas, we were delighted with the view out over the beach and the Atlantic as we ate on the shielded terrace. Well done, folks."

"We ate here whilst staying at the hotel. Stunning views from the floor to ceiling windows and nicely decorated. The food was average and very expensive for the quality. We ate there on our first night for convenience and once more after that mid way...through the holiday but we're very glad we were bed and breakfast only. There are much nicer restaurants in Praia Grande which are much better value."

"We went to visit Cabo da Roca and on the way back decided to stop for dinner at 3 Gomes. We ordered the cod dish, tuna steak, bread/olives appetizer and 2 house wines. The tuna steak was the best! It was perfectly done at medium level. The cod fish was fresh and grilled to perfection. It was a delightful evening. Thank you!"

"We visited the restaurant on Sunday 13th September. I must say that the fresh food offered was fantastic. I had fresh crab which was cooked to order. If I had shared this with Izzy then the bill would have been circa 60 euros which for what we had was excellent value for money. Our pudding was very special as we had a taster of everything. The position of the restaurant is also very special as you have views over the sea. Parking is not a problem. My special thanks go to Silvano and his staff for making us very welcome and we will be going back soon. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.Colin Harris"
