"INTRO: Choon Hwa Won has the best black bean noodles called jang myun in Korean in ALL the DMV Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area. If you don't agree, please DM me because I'm always looking for better food. Not only their parts of the black bean noodles GIGANTIC, but also their taste is SUPERB. I was in a few Korean restaurants where the black bean sauce hadn't penetrated the noodles, so the taste is really lacking. They do not experience the harmonious synergy between the noodles and the sauce, which manifests itself as a laborious and dissatisfied food. As a second generation of Korean Americans who loves to enjoy his cultures cooking, is not a black bean noodle experience without a portion of sweet and acidic chicken or pig called Tang soo yook in Korean. I personally prefer to immerse Tanga soo yook in the sauce instead of pouring the sauce over the fried meat because it helps to keep their crispy, baked out. Although I live in NC, I dine at Choong Hwa Won every time I drive to NOVA Northern Virginia, and sometimes I eat here several times per ride. They're so good. ENTREE 1: Yes Jang Myun $8.99 Regular I said this before and I say it again. These are the best black bean noodles you eat in the DMV area. Prices are cheaper if you eat here during lunchtime. I always get the LARGE option for the black bean noodles that costs more $3, but it's worth it as they basically give you 50% more noodles. ENTREE 2: Chicken Tang soo yook $18.99 This price is during the weekdays. During the weekends it will cost you a few more dollars. As seen above, you get Zang soo yook when you get the black bean noodles. It's literally Yin and Yang. It is a crime not to order them together because they connect perfectly. The sweetness of fried, broken meat complements the juicy, umami black bean noodles. VENUE: The interior is somewhat outdated, but honestly, who cares what the interior of the restaurant looks like when the food is so good. PARKING: You have your own parking lot. More than enough parking for their customers. WORTH IT? Yeah, you wouldn't. If you go on a weekday during lunch, save some money compared to dinner or weekend hours. NOTE: You have an 18 % faith addressed to you. I was shocked that she automatically added a 18% Gratity to my bill for a party of 2 during the weekday noon. I'm not sure they're thinking about it, especially because it's the furthest of fine food, but still, look warned. 4 stars because of their additional happiness during the weekday lunchtime for a party of 2."

"Really generous portions! I have been craving jjajangmyun since I left Korea, and this place did not disappoint. The small portion of the tangsuyuk felt like a large and the sauce wasn’t overly sweet. 10/10 will be going again when I want Korean-Chinese food!"

"Horrible. Naengmyun and Godeunguh Jjim were way too sweet. Banchan was lackluster. Kimchi Jeon was crispy and tasted alright. Staff is nice. It?s sticky and humid inside as well. Am shocked to see other Koreans frequenting the place. We definitely won?t be back."
