"Staff was nice. Especially the lady tending the tables. Fries were well seasoned and nicely fried. Mac and cheese had good flavoring. But that's about it. Brisket was terribly dry. Shouldn't need sauce to make it good, but we had to in this case. It was lunch time, not even dinner/end of day. Even though cut right.... it didn't do well on the bend test. I didn't order ribs...but saw people enjoying them. Don't think we'd go back there...unless someone I know vouchesfor another meat."

"I had not been to Virgil's in a long time and was pleased that the brisket was still pretty good, given I grew up in Texas! The service was good, not great, but in fairness we were in between lunch and dinner shifts. I do have a complaint that where we were sitting, behind the bottom of the staircase, it was very cold as people came in and out of the front door. Perhaps a better barrier or a heated vestibule for guests coming in to wait would help!"
