"We ate here for NYE dinner, the food was amazing and paired beautifully with the wines recommended to us. However the most outstanding part about our meal was the hospitality, i felt right at home and transported back to Spain all at once. Would highly recommend, and would definitely travel back to Auckland to eat here!!"

"This was our first trip back since the change of ownership. The dining room is still relaxed yet sophisticated, the service was excellent as you would expect. I enjoyed the a la carte dining instead of the degustation for a change. The standard of the food was excellent in my opinion, highlights for me were the venison tartare with walnuts (amazing combination) and the wagyu beef. Sid at the French Cafe is forging on with a slightly different style but maintains the high standards of the original"

"Great ambiance with live music on Saturdays!<br/>The staff was friendly and attentive and the location is convenient. They have a big space so we were able to get a seat without a problem. <br/>The food was ok. The menu is a little unconventional (not just Spanish includes quesadillas and pizza) but the items we did try were good."

"Came here for lunch on a sunny Spring weekday. Service was nice and prices weren’t too steep. It’s a great place by the waterfront when the weather’s nice.<br/ <br/ I ordered a soba noodle salad, which came with a whole bunch of veges. It had a nice sesame-based sauce, and overall felt like a healthy oriental salad. It was filling but didn’t make me feel bloated.<br/ <br/ My colleagues had the waffles (which can be made gluten-free). The berry version comes with ice cream, which would be very tempting once summer rolls around!"
