"Based on the recommendation we received we were expecting something more than an ordinary Gasthaus. The premises has been a restaurant for over 100 years. We arrived towards the end of the noon hour. I ordered the breaded cutlet and my wife a Zander fillet. Each was accompanied by a yogurt salad and potatoes.Service was relatively quick and the salad was excellent, if typical Gasthaus fare. The two main courses each had the look of ready-prepared food from a restaurant supplier. The cutlet was covered in a uniform mantel of bread crumbs. The Zander came as a fillet of half a fish, minus the head and tail. It too was so uniformly formed that it seemed ready-prepared by the supplier.Each main course was of average quality, no better and no worse. The accompanying potatoes were the same. The total bill came to 36,40€. If an ordinary meal at an ordinary price is OK for you, you will probably not be disappointed. We expected more for the price charged."

"Wir waren mit etwa 8 Personen da. Während die Hälfte eine Suppe als Vorspeise bestellt hat, hat der Rest nur eine Hauptmahlzeit bestellt. Als erstes kam jedoch die Hauptmahlzeit für eine Person. Auf Nachfragen, warum nur man das vor der Vorspeise servieren würden, wurde uns gesagt, dass wir das hätten sagen müssen, dass die Suppen Vorspeisen wären. Sie wären eine Bodega, und hier kenne man keine Vorspeisen. Wäre vielleicht nicht so schlimm gewesen, wenn dann das andere Essen gekommen wäre. Das nächste Essen, die Suppen, kamen dann 15 Minuten später. Die erste Person hatte bis dahin ihr Essen schon gegessen, da die Küche es auch nicht warmstellen wollte, bis der Rest gekommen wäre. Das restliche Essen dröpelte dann im 15 Minuten Takt an den Tisch. Gemeinsam kam nur etwas, wenn zufällig 2 Leute das gleiche Essen bestellt hatten. Auch die Tappas kamen im selben Rythmus an. Während die erste Person uns allen dann beim Essen zuschauen konnte, kamen die letzten Hauptmahlzeiten, als alle anderen schon fertig waren. Auf die Frage, warum man denn nicht das Essen zusammen serviert, wurde uns gesagt, das sei so üblich, dass in Bodegas das Essen nach und nach kommt. Außerdem müsste man ja sonst 5 Köche einstellen. Zudem würde man ja frisch kochen, und das würde halt seine Zeit dauern.Das Essen war zwar nicht besonders gut, aber es war in Ordnung. Immerhin hatte man uns einen Wodka ausgegeben, dafür dass das Essen so langsam gekommen ist."
