"I visited skwed last night with friends, I must see one of the best Turkish restaurants I have ever visited. eating was great, scallops had to die. we chose the mixed grill, the lamb was perfectly pink and tasteful, huh so soft and perfectly cooked and the same can be said for the ribs. some of the guests had allergies and the employees were excellent the changes in the food. the restaurant has a magnificent bush, noisy and fun, I would not visit for a romantic opportunity, more for friends and amazing eating and drinks. I'm shocked that I haven't been there before I can say we'll be back soon"

"Overall I enjoyed the food here. The chicken kofte could have been seared a bit better on the fire. But it was tasty. The chili was nice, although the garlic sauce didn’t do it for me. The accompanying salad was nice but would have preferred no dressing. Service was good. I’d possibly return but just can’t give it full 5 stars. By the way, despite an identical logo on the shop front this place is not connected to the Istanbul restaurant in Dalston."

"The chips here are very good: as the fish! what I also appreciate is the friendliness of the staff. they get a real sense that this is a family-run, and a family-friendly place. I also know that sometimes they have to order 1-3 minutes for them; for me this means that eating is fresh and not under a hot lamp for the last 30 minutes. I would recommend this place to anyone I know."

"I wasn't there yet, I'm not sure if it's under new management because the usual type wasn't there. we had ordered a selection of foods, had a mix and the game of appetizers and mains and all dishes were beautiful, not over spiced, only the complaining was the dahl lenses) there was a stone in the plate and almost broken my tooth, but others than that the service was good and the whole food was well cooked, seasoned and presented, we had a nice time."

"Went for a family meal with teenage son and daughter. They serve North Indian food: various curries and kebabs. I always go for the lamb biryani which they do so well. The surroundings are like a cafe/greasy spoon, the prices are equally low, but the food is very authentic and very tasty."

"My hubs and I were out for a date night when he suggested Mayas lounge, I said sure, little did I think I'd be wowed I was stunned by the beautiful decor, (the outside doesnt do it justice), our waiter was Hani who was very friendly n helpful, we ordered couple of starters n two wraps, some mocktails, food was excellent, batta hara was one of the best I've ever had. Shisha was good, and the waffles tasted like it was freshly made. The entertainment (belly dancer) was really good. Yes prices are a little on the high side however you get what you pay for and thats a great night out"

"I have often eaten by barnet star. Sometimes I was disappointed, but tonight our food was great. it was a complicated order with 5 people to consider, all like their commands 'just so '. the order was taken over efficiently and with humor. when they arrived, they hadn't missed a single trick in the needs of my crazy family."
