"The Liquid Bar is a good place. The tiled interior has seen better days. But every time I go, it's like visiting an old friend. Do not expect special drinks. It's a place to go and have a beer. I think it's great because it's not usually overcrowded and you can actually have a conversation. I'm not sure why, but it always reminded me of the place people who have an affair would meet to have a drink."

"Safari Bar is a very nice spot to hang out. Since they open at 12noon, Mon-Sat (So 16) and if you get there within a few hours after opening hours, you can nearly have the place to yourself except for a few of the regular Stammtisch guys. During the winter the padded window seating spots have heating systems underneath, during the summer the windows fully open. Antique stools at the bar, several wooden tables and chairs around the room, and a couple of high tables at the rear. Jazzy, upbeat, soothing sounds are playing in the background, Wi-Fi, and spotless restrooms. I enjoyed my Hurlimann beer and just chilled for a short while. Really laid-back, cool atmosphere."

"Let’s face it: It’s the best place in all of Zurich. Best whisky, best beer (no run of the mill! , best cigars and tobacco products, best location, best ever atmosphere and then there’s the one defining element which is Egon. A home and not one away from home. An actual home. Make this your living room away from everything daunting. Great music all year round and about a million screens with all the sports imaginable. This you won’t find anywhere else! Tradition, local and pure class. The locals shape this place."

"I was once again in Zuerich and dropped into Nelsons for a beer. The beer was good, stuff was friendly and fast. The Pub was crowded on a Friday night so seems to be popular. Overall a good experience but nothing special to mentioned"

"Zuri Bar has been completed revamped and is now called Divella Vini e Panini. We visited this eatery three times on our trip to Zurich. The wine Alessio, the new proprietor, served us comes from Puglia and was excellent. All the cured meats, olive oil, etc. are imported directly from Italy by Alessio’s family and are first rate. The care and dedication of Alessio is evident in every bite and every sip. We were treated like family and enjoyed every minute of the experience. You must try this place when visiting Zurich’s old town."
