"Got there with some friends last Wednesday, getting the hot pot for dinner. The price was ok according to the amount of their dishes. It was pretty enjoyable to had dinner there. The dining environment was quite comfortable. Gonna go there again"

"Well, what a pathetic experience this was.It was my night to select the diner of choice and I chose JD's Burgers. What an error. We arrived at 6:50pm on 18th Jan and took our reserved seats outside for my group of 8. It wasn't the usual mid January balmy evening we were expecting, so with tightly crossed arms and goose bumped skin, we ordered a burger each and some chips in the hope of getting some delicious warm food in our cold bodies.I was feeling adventurous and went for the "popcorn chicken" as I felt they were somehow healthier than chips. What an absolute mistake this was. Before I get into the "salmonella surprise packets", let's talk about the burgers and overall service. As the mercury continued to plummet, we continued to wait. Seeing the restaurant was mostly empty, we expected to have the delicious little bundles of joy in our hands quickly. Alas, 10 minutes past, then 20, then 30, then 45... the hour passed and we sheepishly asked how much longer we needed to wait and if they needed help hand rearing and slaughtering the meat. Finally, after 65 minutes, my buzzer buzzed and I don't think I've been this excited since when I got my first bike at 6 years old when "Santa" hid them cruelty in the front room where my other presents were... but I digress...I grabbed my takeaway bag of Goku Beef Burger and Popcorn Chicken goodness. Although clearly we had booked a table we still got it thrown in takeaway bags. This should have been a good enough indication of the type of operators running the joint, but after my 40 hour famine I couldn't resist.Being the selfless great bloke that I am, I wanted to wait for my mates food to come out which they politely declined and cleared my path to Food Nirvana. As I ripped open my bag which looked straight from Daiso, I broke open the container holding my chicken which could be best described at this point as little balls of happiness. I bit straight through the first chicken aggot and noticed a real weird texture mid chew. As I looked down, I realised the middle of my chicken was as pink as Lindsay Lohan's skin after an arvo in the sun. I couldn't believe my eyes. I marched back up to the counter and showed them my raw chicken plum.No word of a lie, the young Asian lady, who was still trying to master the English language, grabbed these half cooked chook nuts and literally threw them back in the deep fryer. About 20 mins later, everyone's burgers had finally arrived. Sheepishly my chicken was brought out and was thoroughly cooked. So much so I could've used the chicken as some of those silica gel packets you find in a pair of shoes. Not only do I now have to ride the porcelain bus for the next day or two with my life potentially in the balance, my mates have revoked ALL of my decision making privileges for 2017. Shout out to the poor couple who waited for over an hour for their burgers only to be told they ran out of bread. WHAT KIND OF BURGER JOINT RUNS OUT OF BUNS?!?!I just wish Tripadvisor would let us give less than 1 out of 5 for this putrid establishment."

"A local favourite. Hidden behind an unassuming shop front is truly excellent Thai food, with some of the fastest service I've ever had. It's not fancy, but it is delicious and some of the best value for money you'll ever get. Not a great dine in experience, but can't recommend more highly for local takeaway"

"Like many Thai restaurants in Melbourne where food is not bad but nothing special to write about. Duck curry was too sweet for my liking, same with the sauce for seafood platter. Not enough spices and heavy on coconut milk and sugar. Pad Thai was ok. Bonus: 25% off from Entertainment book."

"SERVICE: 3.5/5<br/ A friendly welcome when we arrived and the food took no time to come out.<br/ <br/ FOOD: 4/5<br/ Didn't have any expectations prior to going but was pleasantly surprised when the food hit the table. They were presented quite nicely and generous portion size especially for Thai standards.<br/ <br/ I had a seafood pad Thai which had a reasonable amount of seafood, not too much variety through it though. Plenty of noodles which I thought wouldn't be finished but it was delicious so polished it all up.<br/ <br/ My friend had a caramelised pork dish with slaw and it looked amazing. Again a big portion and she was very happy with it. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other dishes when next in the area.<br/ <br/ DECOR AMBIENCE: 3.5/5<br/ The entry is a little hard to find. Other than the lightbox there is no other signage, just a door that leads up a steep flight of stairs to bring you to the restaurant door on the left. The dining room was lovely and clean when we were there. It was a Wednesday night and we were there from 6pm-7:30pm, no other patrons the entire time. The food delivery drivers were coming in every 15mins so the locals know the secret! Comfortable seating and I particularly love the window seating overlooking Toorak Road from above.<br/ <br/ KID FRIENDLY: The dining area has ample room and can be considered kid friendly however there is that steep flight of stairs to get past first."
