"The food we had here was one of the better examples of veganised traditional Hungarian dishes. The seitan stew with nokedli and the cottage cheese pasta were both very tasty. The desserts were also delicious. However it took an absurd amount of time to get this food. In fairness we were served our mains and drinks in the traditional way. Someone came over, took our order and brought it to our table. Beyond this we had to resort to approaching staff on the floor, asking first for pickles and then for dessert. Even when we asked for dessert it took around twenty minutes to receive it, despite it being pre-made, in a glass cabinet. Perhaps it would have been easier to simply take the desserts ourselves I’m sure I could have done a better job of plating it."

"My partner and I found MahaRaha in our first night in Budapest. It happened Christmas Eve and most restaurants and grocery stores are closed. After sitting, the server was very helpful and accommodating when I told her I was vegan. She pointed to the vegetarian/vegan options they had on the menu and offered to change other dishes if I preferred something else. The food was amazing. You can also make one of the desserts vegan!"
