"Came today with the children to see the poppy flowers and cried for drinks and snacks. fantastic service very welcoming and friendly staff. Georgia even came out and noticed that we had asked a dog whether we wanted a bowl of water for him and filled them up until he was extinguished. nothing was too much annoyed. thanks for feeling welcome."

"We had the small breakfast priced at £5.25 . It was absolutely lovely , all cooked freshly and served by pleasant and helpful staff . We couldn’t fault it . Great value for money . It included toast and tea or coffee too . We had stayed in the nearby Travelodge , so it was very handy to come to Penny Farthing for breakfast ."

"We visited early in the morning around 9.30, cold wet miserable day, we have been before. On entering the place was empty except for 2 people, We were asked, Good Morning can I help, table for 2 please. We were asked, oh have you booked? Erm no. Although it gets quite busy late morning and lunch time as we noticed last visit. We found this funny, but the thing that gets us is how loud and condescending the lady who we think is the Manager speaks to people. ,like she is doing us a favour, it’s very off putting and not the first time. The staff are lovely polite and helpful, so we let it pass, the service is good the food is average nothing special except the cakes which are yummy. This lady doesn’t put us off going but certainly needs taught people skills."

"I had no high hopes, but I had very little time to find some food. The Roast chicken salad looked nice, but it was an awfully small portion with couple of rather thin slices of chicken. It was tasty, but I was disappointed."

"Brilliant garden center restaurant food hall gift shop. the miniature museum leaves much to be desired, with the recent supplement a 'millennium house,' so would give a missing but every other brilliant. the Christmas display is worth it!"
