"Last night was our first time dining here and we did the chef’s tasting menu… every course was amazing and inventive. The local Guinea hen was such a surprise, and was prepared so inventively. Our favorite of the evening was a tossup between wagyu beef cheek appetizer and the pumpkin cheesecake dessert. They also brilliantly paired the meal with wines throughout the course. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming too! We will definitely be back, especially since the menu changes with the seasons and with with whatever gem ingredients the chef sources."

"Really great food, service was slow but we had a party of eight. Everyone liked the million dollar bacon it was maple flavored, sweet and salty. I highly recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes, they are served with lemon curd and strawberries. These pancakes were so light (for a pancake) fluffy and delightful. Waffles and french toast were both enjoyed without complaint. If your looking for something more savory the skillet with eggs peppers onions and veggies was quite good. There were quite a few cute touches on the walls and throughput. We all liked the silverware wraps that said I love you more than bacon. We tasted the juice, ginger refresher I think it was called wake up. (My hubby loved it) Waters and coffees were filled up as needed. Other than the initial slowness for ordering and delivering food the servers were very friendly and attentive. (We had a group of 8 and we were in no hurry so it was not a big deal) I'm sure we will be back, we all liked the food so much!!"

"My husband and I stayed at the Boulders Resort last December 2014 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and everyone congratulated us and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in a casita and our driver lit the fire, showed us how everything worked and was just great. We made a dinner reservation in the Palo Verde and were very impressed with the service. Our waiter even treated us to champagne. The food was excellent, the service attentive and we had a wonderful experience all around. I don't remember what we ate but we were both more than pleased with our evening. This past December we decided to go again to celebrate our anniversary and were hoping to have the same experience. Unfortunately the Palo Verde was under renovation so we were not able to eat there. We couldn't contain our disappointment and told them that was the main reason we came. They assured us that the Grille was very good and in fact had the same chef during the renovations. We were told that if we would like to try it that they would look after us. Well, we did go and the food was excellent again, the chef came out to welcome us and the staff did not let us pay, not even for the liquors! We couldn't believe how generous and friendly everyone was toward us. We stayed over at a casita again and had a terrific breakfast, lovely fruit and pastries. Our initial disappointment regarding the restaurant was turned into a wonderful experience again. This resort does not need any lessons in how to make their guests welcome and they more than compensated us for our initial disappointment. We would recommend this resort, the restaurants and the excellent service to anyone. The setting is lovely and we enjoyed walking around the grounds and seeing the beautiful surroundings."
