"The service was friendly but the basics were not there. With our starters we were offered bread at présentation, but it never came so we had to ask again for it. My absolute pet hate is asking for water and not getting it. I'm also ordering drinks with a price! Give me water. Tap water isn't available? OK, tell me. I need it so I'll pay. It's not difficult. Our starters. I'm not a chef but basic hummus is not difficult. As a rookie, I can make very good hummus. You do need oil though and cummin is not the main ingredient. Actually not necessary at all. It was mealie, dry with whole and cruchie chickpeas. If you can't prepare it, that's OK. Don't serve it. Our starter of moule pannée was fried to within an inch of it's life. I'll say no more. My main meal was in a luke warm oven dish (obviously for presentation?! with giant balls of standard Minced meat with no seasoning, in, what can be best described as honey meat water with a half an inch of carrot. It sounds like I'm joking, unfortunately, I'm not. The picture I provide is after 2 bites of my main dish. On the menu, this was called boulet a la liegionnese. We ordered a half bottle of rose wine which was presented without a cooler. We had to ask. It's served chilled!! Come on guys. I am from a service background. I'm sure the restaurant will brush off this review but, believe me, this is basics not achieved. The Plus: you can see the lake and the staff smile. Ps. Any spelling and grammar mistakes are here because I drank the alcohol and left hungry."
