"Went here to try something new. It was nice having dinner and watching the horses run the track. The food was very good and well prepared. The French fries were fantastic and clearly hand cut with a great taste. The Terrace Burger was also very good and juicy. The smell of cigarette smoke knocks this down a star but does ever so slightly remind me of the smell of a bowling alley in my younger years."

"Skipper's is a great small place right in the center of Charles Town. I love the BLT, spinach salad and French fries. The ice is made there, so the shakes are excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is done to order so sometimes you have to wait a bit for your food. The restaurant includes a ceramic shop for birthday parties where you and your friends can paint prefabricated cups, plates, bowls and other ceramics. Then they fire you work in their oven and you get your artwork in a week or two... Even if you never visit the Pottery patch, the food is great and we are worth frequent visits."
