"Went to Great Canadian Bagel yesterday. In addition to our two bagel sandwiches, we also bought a tub of cream cheese. When we opened it, it was about a third empty. I took it back in and asked why it was so empty. I said I had been buying them for years and have never run into this. The owner told me he fills them all to weight: 225g. So, I checked it on a calibrated scale; it’s 162 grams… a 28% saving for the store but also a 28% rip off to the customer. Obviously they’re trying to cut costs. Guess we’ll have to find a new Saturday breakfast spot."

"The breakfast sandwiches are unreal, especially the Canadian back bacon. The prices are a bit higher (just under $7 for the breakfast sandwich) but you are paying for quality, bagels baked fresh everyday and the eggs freshly cooked for each sandwich. It’s my go to quick breakfast spot!"

"Made last minute reservations here and the food and ambience did not disappoint. Right on the water you get a great view of the Harbour. Tried the lost in Japan cocktail and it had a wonderful savoury sesame flavour. The lobster roll was fresh and tasty. Would love to come back!"

"The food is excellent and it's very welcome to have the option to go for cheaper eats (roughly $8.00 CA) instead of more expensive main courses. The ever-changing menu means that even if something didn't strike your fancy one week, you can come back later...and try something different. I also love the atmosphere and the music is always great. Highly recommended!"

"We went as a group of 12 only two in the group enjoyed their food boiled frits dried fish tacos and some mustard potatoes that were too sharp to eat many of the dishes, like the salad I had full of celantro, which overwhelmed... the dish is no longer a high-end restaurant more pub-style food and not well made"
