"Zeroes is a really sleek cafe located just minutes walking distance from Princess Margaret Hospital. Enjoy lounge seating by a fire place, tall top tables for a casual snack, table seating for a coffee or lunch date or patio seating on a nice day with your pup. <br/ <br/ The coffee at Zeroes is high quality. Their cappuccinos are smooth and delicious and presentation is nice as well. Hungry? Try their main greek salad. With chunks of feta, fresh tomatoes, cumbers and onions (could have a few more kalamata olives) and a delicious dressing, this is one of the best greek salads I've ever had! Looking for a little more substance? They have various bakery items, muffins and sandwiches, as well as cookies and lollies. Definitely my favorite cafe in Cashmere."

"Black and White Coffee roast their own beans in store and by the taste of the coffee they do a damn good job. The casual friendly atmosphere is great and the food superb. The grass area is a real treat in a central city location and it was lovely to sit in the sun. I would recommend swapping to black aprons with a white screen printed logo however, as the light coloured ones looked dirty. Great overall experience, we will be back for more coffee."

"Such a great find!! Went to four other cafes before stumbling across this cafe. Warm and inviting, stunning decor and very friendly and helpful staff! We are those annoying people with fussy kids and they went out of their way to tweak menu items to suit us! The whole family loved it. Food was delicious and fresh! The bagels and cheese scones and smoothies were excellent! We will be heading back for sure during our stay in Christchurch!"

"I found some expired Hummingbird Nectar beans in the pantry and decided to give them a try anyway. They expired in June last year!! I have a Vibiemme espresso machine that I’ve been using for 20 years. I am a self taught barista but a family member who is a real barista gives me tips for improvement. Our home coffee taste better than most nearly all cafes (modestly). I usually buy Colombian beans which make amazing coffee. So back to my 500 g of expired Hummingbird beans. Bought at the supermarket. Surprise!! They taste amazing. Really good. Which was totally unexpected. The beans looked good even after all that time. They hadn’t gone oily like beans often do the taste seems to deteriorate at that point. But these Nectar beans over a year past the expiry date are perfect!"
