"My recent culinary preferences were simple, quite/good atmosphere, good food and good value. They were all hit in Le Bistrot. I also liked that the menu was printed in French and English. I had the rib steak, pepper sauce with...French fries and salad (Pieces de Bouef, Sauce au poivre). It was one of the higher menu items and cost 16.50E. I also had the cream brulé for dessert. I'm not a cream brulé con insuring, but I really enjoyed it! All in all, a very pleasant dinner and experience. If I stayed longer in the area, I would come back to try something else like the Italian steactars (15.30E)."

"It was my birthday and we decided to have a Potatoe burger complex. The price for the burger itself was 4.40. People were constantly flowing to this place and standing in a queue. We paid for 2burgers, big french fries and waited for 50min! After our patience was gone, we approached the cashier and asked wheather they forgot our food. And he said to us rudely, that our food was already given out to the people who stood before us!!! what is more, he and the manager didn't talk to us because we only speak English, and refused either to give money back or make new burgers! Finally, after 30min when we asked French-speaking people to talk to them, they threw us 2 terrible burgers for 1.2euro and burned french fries. the festive mood of the birthday was ruined thanks to this disrespectful place."

"We were there for lunch on a cold January day. We had croque-monsieur, goat cheese, and honey waffles and home brewed beers. All were very good and enjoyed! Owner was very nice, agreed to cook for us despite the late time; he also helped us find our way in the region and advised us on nice sites to see. Owner also sells local beers, pates, jams and more. Strongly recomended"

"Firstly it's fair to say overall we had a pleasant enough evening, that aside this is a review and I'm picky. Food: The food was Ok but nothing special, French onion soup was fine but I've had better. Main course was a chicken supreme with...morelle sauce tagliatelle again it was fine the chicken and sauce pleasant and pasta cooked ok. The morelles did have a small amount of sand still in them but not really enough to complain about. The meals were large enough leaving little room for dessert. The wine list was good with a good range of local and regional choices with prices that were also reasonable. Service: The young team were pleasant and polite but still in need of training. Sometimes hard to attract their attention and perhaps not spending enough time checking on tables to ensure everything is ok, but no real complaints. Value: Overall this restaurant while fine but not exceptional is a little on the expensive side for the choices, quality presentation. Diners will have an OK meal but perhaps not overwhelmed!"

"We have been visiting the quiet and beautiful town of Cluny several times, and we are always paying a visit to this French patisserie with great pleasure. Open also on Sundays, their chocolate is really excellent and delicious. Their Truffes du Moine are superb, but also the Rocher de Solutré is really good. You will not regret having stopped here!"
