"Visited for lunch today with my partner. We ordered ahead and the food was ready. So can't complain about that. Should have been a quick trip but we became memorized with the hospitality and wonderful conversation from the owner and his wife while the intoxicating scent of his smoker filled the air. Both my partner and I ordered the ribs and the BBQ. Both were amazing and none which made it home to the wives which the owner suggested might happen). If you are in the area do yourself the favor of stopping and filling you stomach and your soul. Places like this don't after come around and I pray they open one in Newport News so that I can eat there daily."

"Been here twice. First time service was great and great food. Second time there was only one server and what looked to be 3 hostesses just chatting at the front while people would walk in waiting to be seated and would eventually leave due to not being helped. We sat for 20 minutes before I had to ask one of the hostesses to be served. Terrible service. Kind of a mixed bag to be honest."

"My wife and I had an amazing experience at The Brickhouse Run tonight. I had been wanting to give a try for quite some time and I 'm glad we finally went. Outward appearances seemed on track with the traditional British pub that The Brickhouse Run is modeled after. When you enter, that vibe carries throughout the interior as well. It 's not a huge restaurant, as you 'd expect from the Old Towne Petersburg historic buildings. Half of the restaurant area is dedicated to the pub/bar and the other half for the dining room. Hostess and waitstaff were very friendly and attentive during our entire experience. The menu had plenty choose from with traditional British pub food like Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, etc. as well as interesting seasonal fare like Duck a l 'orange and Acorn Squash with optional protein add-ons. We started with the Sweet Potato Perogies which were essentially a savory sweet potato and cheese mini pie , less like traditional perogies but definitely tasty. I then elected for the Duck a l 'orange while my wife chose the Petersburger. I tried a bite of her burger which featured a the typical lettuce, cheddar, and bacon but also a unique onion jam and pub sauce that really set it apart. It was delicious. My Duck a l 'orange was perfectly cooked and amazingly tender and surrounded by a great sweet potato puree and a delectable helping of Brussels sprouts. The experience was really amazing. If there were anything worth acknowledging as a downfall, it would have to be that the dining room was chilly. We ultimately chalked that up to the older building though. All in all, great date night spot and we 'll certainly be back."

"The waitress was excellent, the appetizers (calamari and wings) were very yummy. Pizza was good but it had an insane amount of cheese. We had the BBQ chicken pizza and the Alfredo chicken pizza. With the BBQ you could barely taste the BBQ because of how much cheese it had. The table was sticky even though they had just cleaned it. It was 4 of us, 2 appetizers , 2 beers, 3 sodas, 2 small specialty pizzas and 1 medium cheese pizza and we paid about $90."

"First time trying 526 Grille! I had such an amazing experience from the time the owner answered the phone to picking up my food! She was super sweet and friendly! I tried “The 526 burger” and the “Mango Habenero Wings” everything was so flavorful and freshly made. I highly recommend trying this establishment."
