"Stunningly beautiful little country pub, Inn and farm shop. One of a kind and hundreds of years old. It's so gorgeous, great food and drink,a roaring open fire, wonderful service, amazing atmosphere and to top it all its rumoured to be the inspiration for the Green Dragon of By water in the Hobbit just as the Cotswolds were the inspiration for the Shire. If true... you can certainly see why! Hidden away in its own little valley on a tiny twisty lane this is truly a gem and one of my new favourite destinations for a quiet evening out in the country."

"Excellent breakfast and dinner. spacious, well furnished room. good bathroom, including bathtub, instead of just one shower. simple parking space. the kisses would have been more comfortable, we found the lighting in the room to be poor, and the television was not straight on the wall and could have been better quality."
