"I'm not Chinese and this place is for us all, non-Chinese people! The highlight of this place is the attention if you are lucky, and you can sit by the owner of the place, make sure you have a chat with him and his barfring. <br>
Grief
The food is really good, a bit of the expensive side, but I think it's a fair price based on the quality of meals. I had Bok Choy with garlic, the great, crispy skin tamarind chicken and your typical go-to-combination rice stirring roast, which was really good. All in all, go and try this place!"

"This used to be Checquers and the decor has changed little and is a little tired, if still functional. The main attraction is the food and it proved to be surprisingly good (given what some of the other reviews say) and plentiful. The salt & pepper squid and the snow pea shoots dishes were both very good. The highlight though was the pork belly and preserved veg hot pot. Simply brilliant. Note - for some reason it doesn't appear on the menu, you will have to ask for it. The waitress spoke English so it shouldn't be a problem. The service was otherwise basic but efficient with no major delays. For dinner they provide "free" beef soup to start with and oranges & Chinese biscuits/pastries. Very good.Would definitely return."

"Love this little place in Union square, Pyrmont. Delicious dumplings, pancakes and other food. For super reasonable prices. Had 32 dumplings, shallot pancakes, garlic onion fried beans and a couple of drinks for $65. Enough food for 4 men. Service and preparation is really fast, so it’s a great spot to grab a bite at lunch time or when you’re in a hurry."

"Based upon several good trip advisor reviews we went here for lunch... What a disappointment.. Sweet and Sour Pork was soggy and no sign of any crispness.. I am not talking about deep fried Sweet and Sour Pork with golden batter common from takeaways......Yuk) We know what decent cantonese sweet and sour pork should be and sometimes use this as a benchmark dish for a cantonese restaurant. The chef was far from passing this test... The Chicken fillet speciality dish with spicy XO sauce was pretty much devoid of any spicy XO sauce and was very bland... The rice was OK... Needs much improvement to use the Superb Chinese Food claimed on their business card."

"My new favorite place for yum cha. The seafood dishes in yum cha are fresh. A little bit more pricey but in Darling harbour, of course price tag dearer than other normal yum cha. Do not expect the traditional way where people push trolleys because you will not find it here."
