"This is a lovely pub or could be. The food, the waiting staff were excellent,however the manager needs some management skills. The way she deals with her staff is nothing short of rude.she barks out her orders as if she was in the army. The pub says cocktails, not if she decides they are not doing them. Cocktails are not on tonight . We felt very uncomfortable with her whole attitude. We probably won’t go back because of her, which is a shame but don’t think she will give a hoot."

"Four of us visited the Northwick Arms yesterday evening on ‘steak night’. Sandra was delightful and made us feel so welcome. Our steaks were personally cooked by Kiernan and were done to perfection, as were the onion rings and vegetables. The sponge puddings were home made and came with both ice cream and custard – perfect. They tasted so much better than the ‘bought in commercially made ones’ that we have experienced in other restaurants. We had a fabulous meal with taste, texture and variety just right. The surroundings oozed charm with a very comfortable ambiance. Would we recommend the Northwick Arms? We certainly would. Thank you Kiernan and Sandra."

"So here's the thing that I live in southern Italy, have done the last 7 years and what that means in the ground is that I just got used to eating really good. it is a daily event. Usually when I visit my Italian partner with me england, I am embarrassing where I eat them. this time. well, this time I really had notice to be embarrassing, and everything I should be proud of. the team of exeter arms proves that we are also able to make incredible eating with a lot of passion, and we (both my partner and I) can honestly say that this experience was one of the best eating experiences we have ever had in england. the concept is great, eating with quality products and the menu is full of love from what is clearly a very passionate chef chef. keep doing what you do! next time we're back in england, we'll go back to the exeter arms!"
