"Went for lunch,so disappointing, ordered beer battered haddock,when it arrived the Batter was dryed out and falling off the over cooked dryed out fish,the chips had been salted on the plate before being served which I never add salt, this made me thirsty all afternoon.the peas were fine.meals used to be lovely here, what's happened??"

"Think this might be our favourite pub food so far in Dundee! I ordered the large loaded fries thinking that the price must have meant a large portion for one person… nope! Less than £10 for a MOUNTAIN of loaded fries. The boys had a burger and ciabatta, everyone was happy!"

"Nice pub in centre of Dundee, feels like it should be an old mannys pub, but it ain't. Lovely old style decor. Food was good as was the pint and service. Toastie, soup and a pint aroung a tenner with the Mon-Fri lunch deal. Lentil soup was really hammy, yum yum."

"It is now an agriturismo inn. I just noticed that a difference between this and my place is the drink station to fill yourself again, but unlike that was great! Eating was delicious, service was good! I'm not waiting for dinner too long. overall very beautiful experience"

"Big pub for real ale, always 5 kept up and in great condition. great decor, a lot of seating. the food served daily 11-7pm. really friendly barmanager neil was glad to let me taste and did not take any nonsense, how should we say unwanted. what you sometimes need. would recommend the phönix"
