"As the previous review shows, there is not much for vegans. They seemed to host my preference well enough, but based on the information in previous reviews, the bungalow I had on the veganized Matamata Burger was not indeed vegan. Unless they have recently changed something about their rolls, it seems my meal was actually not completely vegan. What I did, considering that she actually gave me a vegan meal, was pretty good. I also ordered the guacamole I eviscerated, it's done so well. The frits are also very good, and the ketchup is also delicious. It could be done in the house, I'm not sure. There is only not much to have when you are vegan to justify repetition visits. A vegan patty, guacamole, pommes. Basically, none of the sauces are vegan. All salads can be made vegan, but by spending the most important ingredients where I don't think what you get is justification of the price. The service of Megan at the bar was fantastic. She can make great custom cocktails. She made her best communication my vegan preference on the kitchen. This place is essentially like a barbecue restaurant with its focus on meat. And so I can say most that I'm happy there's something to eat when I have to eat here. "

"This is definitely a ritzy place. Its relatively expensive and designed to appeal to affluent consumers. I love the Mongolian beef it had a pleasantly sharp savoy taste, an appetizing flavor. The fried rice, wonton, dumplings, and sweet honey barbecueflavored ribs were a delight. If you are in town you have to stop here for dinner."

"If you’re on the hunt for good BBQ, Shack delivers! Ribs, briskets, smoked chicken, it’s always done right. You can choose to add their signature BBQ sauce or leave it off to appreciate the rub. "Just took my wife to the world famous Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q in Durham NC and I must say it was a great experience... the food as you can c tells it all??. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I here to tell U they didn't lie...??. The staff was friendly and made U feel right at home... when U visit ask for Mr.Brandon, Manager he's a great man that truly enjoys seeing you leave full and happy... just like Big Mama's house...?????"

"We had our wedding reception at The Pit in Durham and it was perfect! We knew the food would be good but OMG it was so delicious. What I've always loved about The Pit is not only is their BBQ amazing, but they don't slack on their sides. We are still eating the leftovers, that the staff kindly packed for us, days later. Soooooo good. We picked The Pit obviously because of the food and the amazing building (the rooftop at night was absolutely enchanting, especially after our guests left and it was just the two of us), but also because they handled the setup, breakdown, staffing, alcohol, etc... I've been telling people The Pit was the unicorn of our wedding planning process. Liz, the event manager, was a dream to work with. She was accommodating and very tolerant of lots of questions. She made sure we had all the information we needed. It did a lot for my anxiety with wedding planning for her to be so unflappable. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful at both our tasting and the day of the wedding. They handled changes, like dropping off the cake hours early, with a calm, reassuring manner. Seriously they were all a delight to work with. The bartender, Alberto, and waitress, Emily, were absolutely great. They made sure we had any/everything we needed. Additionally they just seemed like really sweet people. We had the upstairs area and it was such a nice night that all of our guests stayed on the porch the whole night, only coming inside for food and drinks."

"The food was phenomenal. We stopped by on Saturday at noon while on a road trip, and we hit the jackpot. The food was great, and the cashier did an amazing job helping us all pick out exactly what we wanted. A definitely recommended lunch dinner bbq spot.Kid-friendliness: There are portholes in the back dining room where the kids can look out and see a cool painting of an underwater scene. They really enjoyed the scenery the food."
