"We had a lovely dinner here with good food and excellent entertainment with classical guitar music. (It was a Tuesday when they do not have fado. The food was delicious, the price in line with the quality. We both enjoyed our meal and will certainly return again on our next trip to Madeira."

"The fresh fish is amazing. it is beautifully presented and explained at the entrance. the Dish sizes are quite large, so a main course with the usual kartoffel and vegetable plate is sufficient for a normal person. will be coming back"

"Don’t be put off by the rather bland entrance. Restaurant upstairs, is large, spacious and very attractive. The food here was just superb. I cannot recommend the fish soup enough. It was the best I have had anywhere, and could easily and happily had more as a main course. So saying, the lamb tagine was also excellent. We were the only diners there in a Tuesday evening, which was a shame as it did feel a little empty. We were in Funchal for 2 weeks and visited various restaurants in the old town, all except one were excellent, but this one which is a little more central is certainly worth visiting and had we found it earlier, would have visited more. They have only been open a year, and really deserve to do well. Well recommended."
