"I have to be honest, you would think from the outside and the location that this place is sketchy and not worth the time, but having lived in Stanton now for 4 years and been to Lucky John's multiple times, I'm gonna say there's just something about this place that's super legit. The people are really rad and I don't think I've ever been in the situation where the owner or someone else has offered to buy the bar a round more than here, it's amazing. They've got pool, they've got good music...what more do you need? Plenty of good beers, cocktails that aren't watered down to sh!t...live music here and there...it's a good spot, definitely worth a visit if you're on the way through. Staff is super friendly and always very chill. That's all I need."

"Went for my sister's birthday, we were reluctant about going after reading the negative reviews. Boy were we right..ended up leaving with my wife's phone stolen from her. This place attracts trashy/ghetto people. I would not recommend going."
