"You won't feel transported to Persia by the decoration but the food is very good. We made the mistake of asking for a starter which turned-out to be a quasi meal on its own, then proceed to the main dish followed by a near bursting of our stomachs.Food was very good. Best is split a starter or ask the manager to make a suggestion.Not exactly cheap, but then in Geneva, what is. Was worth it in any case, so I still give it 4* for value.There is a bus stop in-front of the restaurant for those who love public transport."

"Hafez is a nice and simple Persian restaurant where I go to the lunch menu. The lunch menu is different and great every day of the week. Tastefully well made with quality products, the quantities are very generous for Swiss standards and the manager/owner/washer... is there to make you feel at home. I'm going to Geneva for lunch, Lausanne. Price and quality is great as I said, quality quantity and price go hand in hand here."

"La cuisine est un délice, les serveurs adorables, mais la patronne absolument en dessous de tout !!!Nous avons eu une table couloir car soi disant plus de place lors de la réservation, mais la patronne arrive (à 20h un samedi soir en plein service) et place 2 de ses amis qui devaient être en table couloir dans une salle !!!! Et cela devant nous sans même excuser !!Après quoi s'en est suivi un cinéma incroyable pour que tout le monde comprenne qui elle était, ce qui à monopolisé le serveur !! Nous avions envie un dessert et d'un thé à la menthe mais du coup nous sommes partis....C'est dommage nous reviendrons peut-être....en s'assurant de l'absence de la pseudo "patronne""

"I read the reviews on the Khayyam, heard about the new ownership, and decided to take a chance on it. I'm glad I did. I had lamb shank with delicious saffron rice. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Even the house wine was well above average."
