"The chef showed me around the buffet to tell me what I could and could not eat then made me fresh crumb and muscle without soy sauce. there were so many options for me. the personal was so courteous and did not make me like the funny person who cannot eat gluten."

"My friend and I went for the buffet dinner, we were served by a chinese lady who was quite friendly in the beginning until we paid for the food. The food was terrible, with limited choices. The ice cream is just a normal vanilla ice cream bought from supermarket. Kinda disappointed. Ingredients for steamboat are not fresh. The most irritating is their service. The lady kept reminding us that we had to finish all the food we took (anyway we managed to) and she served other customers much better than us. Definitely won't recommend this restaurant! After visiting this restaurant I have learnt that I should be more cautious when choosing chinese buffet.."

"Took my two children (10 7yo) here last night and we weren’t disappointed. At $34.95 for adults and $24.95 each for the children it makes it an expensive dinner option for families. After some searching online though I found a 20% if the total bill discount voucher which made me feel a little better about handing over so much money. These vouchers can also appears in the tourist mags you see in hotels at the Gold Coast so keep an eye out. We chose to go on a Thursday night as Fri Sun just would’ve been too expensive for us. It does become a seafood buffet those nights but I just couldn’t justify the jump in price to $65 for adults and $32 I think it was for children. I couldn’t complain about the food we had. There was a large variety and it was constantly being attended to by the staff. The dessert bar was great and the price includes soft drinks and a self serve coffee/Tea/hot chocolate machine. Despite Thursday night not being a seafood buffet night, there were plenty of enormous prawns on offer that were delicious. There were plenty of staff whisking away dirty plates and buzzing around but they didn’t get in the way and seemed pleasant. My only complaint if I could make one is that there are no toilets in this large restaurant which I find really odd. So if you have young children, you all have to leave the restaurant and walk right out into the casino foyer past other restaurants to get to the toilet and back again. About a 10min round trip. Crazy! Otherwise I have no complaints."

"Extremely polite staffs! The atmosphere here felt warm and cozy. Big round of applause for the head chef here! Every details seemed craft with passion! From the sauce (Thai Nam Jim is like top of the line to pair with seafoods! to the hot foods by the bar (Not a single negative or off taste and end with desserts (One vanilla ice cream can pair up with so many choices of cake and topping! . I can feel the detailing and service mind. Not a regular buffet whereby chefs just simply cooked out to finish their shifts. Hot beverage also stationed near by the Lemon Squash which truly help you ease down your foods to your tummy. Surely, I will bring my family here next time we are in Gold Coast! This is far wayyyy better than Harvest Buffet at The Star Gold Coast! PS. Free parking when you dine here at Waves! :D"

"Very enjoyable experience. Great selection of meat's. Plenty of veggies,if you're into that sort of thing. Staff are helpful and friendly. The restaurant is spacious and airy. There is a hot plate for cooking your food to how you like, which is always perfect. Great value for money. I'm looking forward to coming back."

"Place and staff are nice. The selection of food are not that great for the 45$ per person. Beef bulgogi and pork bbq are really mushy, texture is not good. We just enjoyed the pork belly, beef and pork rib. Rice is very dry, very hard to eat. Lettuce are not cut well that you can’t fit your meat on it. Side dishes/banchan are just typical. These type of servings can be get for 35/person in other korean buffet… to those who would like to eat, pay in cash to have additional 10% off your bill."
