"Having decided to visit Gruissan at the last minute we had no idea what expect. Having walked around this beautiful French village for a while, visited the chateau and took the obligatory 1000 photos we decided refreshment was in order. Typically when we turned the corner of the street this place is on, my children spotted the giant ice cream cone outside and it was a done deal. We entered the front of the store to a mass of colour and candy, handles and levers on a myriad of ice cream machines, booths and counters...it was like being dropped into a scene from Willy Wonka....across the boulevard to the promised land. The manager then arrived right on cue to offer his help and guidance in his rather impressive multi lingual tongue. He guided us through how to get the most out of the experience and watched happily as my children attempted to have a 'bit of everything ' from chocolate ice cream to gummy bear toppings with sorbet on top. We all indulged in a variety of ice cream I didn 't know existed and more toppings I didn 't realise could be toppings and it didn 't disappoint. Delicious ice cream, nice surroundings and the most attentive and helpful manager, a great experience. It really was a great find in a beautiful location, one I am sure we will revisit again and again...."

"A quick lunch for moules frite but this was somewhat disappointing especially as we started out as the first guests. Just not up standard compared to other similar restaurants and to get coffee served in small plastic cups was just unacceptable.We tried it but will not go back"
